BizDir MVP – Business Directory Platform

Location-aware directory MVP, shipped in two months.

The problem

A regional directory needed location-aware search and a path from "empty product" to "real listings" before the budget ran out.

The solution

An MVP with map-based filtering, category and rating facets, and SEO-friendly business pages. Built and launched in roughly two months with 500+ business records seeded and indexed.

Behind the build

Scope was the design. We cut features that would not change the first-week experience — reviews, rich claim flows, ad placements — and shipped the directory + filter + listing page on schedule.

Project notes

BizDir is a regional business directory MVP. The brief was simple: get a working product in front of people in two months, with enough listings that the directory does not feel empty on launch day.

What shipped: • Map-driven listings with category, rating, and distance filters. • Per-business pages with SEO-friendly URLs and structured data. • Mobile-first responsive layout — the majority of traffic was expected on phones. • An admin path to ingest and edit business records, plus a pipeline that seeded 500+ records before launch.

What was deliberately deferred: review moderation tooling, paid placement, claim verification flows. The brief was MVP, not platform.
